The NASBRA Adult Soap Box Derby is underway. Located on Prospect between Main and Wood Streets. Will be running all day long, come out and enjoy! There were over 40 entries this year.

Teachers are continuing with academic instruction. Until further notice, the movement of all students is now restricted.
Students who need to leave the classroom for appointment dismissals or other obligations and destinations within the school are being escorted by staff members.
This non-emergency safety and security exercise is being conducted to ensure that all students and staff members have the right to work and learn in a safe and drug free environment.
A notification will be sent when this safety and security exercise has been completed.

LV Music Conference & Little Red Rooster Blues Band
The Nazareth Center for the Arts is a participant in the 2011 Lehigh Valley Music Conference featuring 65 performances over three days at seven different venues. Read more about the Conference at the Morning Call (here).
The Center’s show takes place Friday night at 7:30, free admission, with host Dave Fry and performances by Erin Kelly, Lynn DeHaven, Dave Fry , Sterling Witt, and the Lehigh Valley Folk Music Society.
On Saturday, the Center will rock with The Little Red Rooster Blues Band. The Band makes its third appearance at the Center. Tickets are $10 and you can see them perform Tellin’ Lies from their first show last spring here.

UNT will be seeking bids on new basketball courts at Tuskes Park according to an article in the Express-Times (read it here).
Money for the courts will be sourced from development impact fees and money from the County.

UNT Traffic Light
School, Township and State officials are again discussing a traffic light at East Lawn and Friedenstahl/Schoeneck Avenue according to an article in the Express-Times (read it here).
Initially the light was a requirement by the township of the NASD when the new MS was located off Friedenstahl. When asked to pay the NASD refused noting the cost was too high. Now officials are trying to identify a plan that reduces the cost.
