Police & Ambulance Update

The Express-Times reports that the Nazareth police department has added two full-time officers (read it here) and that the ambulance corps would like to move to Gracedale (read it here).

The former is much needed, the latter makes sense. There would have to be a good number of calls from Gracedale and it is less than a minute from the borough which means service time won’t be diminished in most cases.

Holiday Weekend

Don’t forget:

Today, Saturday, the Nazareth Farmers Market runs through noon. My wife and I went last week and the food was amazing. We’re heading back today to load up for our 4th of July picnic.

And speaking of the 4th of July, don’t forget the Kazoo Parade!

Have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend.

Next Thursday is the first of five nights of live music at the Nazareth Borough Park. The Nazareth Center for the Arts is having a special fundraiser: The Barony Band Slam. Each week three bands will perform. Donations to bands will represent the fan vote and all money benefits the Center. Regular scheduled shows will resume in September kicking off the fall season with The Large Flowerheads on September 16. Learn more at www.nazaretharts.com
