Quarters for Military Families

Thanks to reader Wayne who made a comment on an old post (read it here) asking if the Quarters for Military was on Sunday, October 5. I hadn't heard anything, but on the Chamber web site it does list it on the calendar (visit it here). Unfortunately I couldn't find any additional details.

  1. I read an article about it in the Express a few days ago. Don't remember what day but do remember reading it.

  2. Here's the info we used for our church newsletter - hope it helps -

    The Second Annual Quarters
    fro Military Families will take
    place on Sunday, October 5th
from 1:00 to 3:30 PM on Main
    Street (from Circle to Prospect
Street) in Nazareth. A centerline of duct tape will be
placed in the street to collect quarters to help families of
deployed military personnel. Last year about $8,000 was
raised, with a goal of $10,000 for this year. Entertainment
will be there along with a parade by the Nazareth High
School Blue Eagle Marching Band, accompanying the
Grand Marshall of the event, Bobby Gunther Walsh of
WAEB radio. Come out to support our military families!
