ANNUAL ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL IN NAZARETH

Hand-made crafts, music, and food, have come to be the highlights of the annual Arts & Crafts Festival, to be held Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the lawn of the Whitefield House (214 E. Center St.) in Nazareth.  NEW THIS YEAR is a special Kids’ Zone, with games and fun for the younger visitors. In its 31st year, this event is the Lehigh Valley’s largest outdoor arts and crafts festival, and is organized by the Moravian Historical Society.  Admission to the grounds is free.

Music for the festival will be provided by the Nazareth Community Band from 10 a.m. to noon, and by the Nazareth Big Swing Band from 12:30 to 2:00. Crafters’ booths will display wares ranging from fine art to jewelry, bird houses to pottery, and much more. The Whitefield House Museum will be open, at a special admission rate of $1 per person. In addition to its permanent second-floor exhibit, the special exhibit on the first floor entitled “A Cadet’s Tale: the Story of Nazareth Hall”, tells the story of 186 years of the famed boys’ school in Nazareth.  Festival-goers can relax at the canopied outdoor café, with food being sold by local service clubs and non-profit groups in Nazareth.  For more information, call (610) 759-5070, email adminassist@moravianhistoricalsociety.org, or visit the website at www.moravianhistoricalsociety.org
