The Morning Call reported on April 12, 2006 that the Nazareth Area School District Administration revised its 2006-2007 budget by now proposing a $ 53.8 million dollar budget. This reflects an 8.7 percent increase over the 2005-2006 budget.
It was also reported that the District is anticipating a year-end fund balance of $1.07 million, and that the new real estated assessed valuation as determined by county assessment records is now $795 million, a 4 percent increase over 2005. The new valuation will generate nearly $ 2 million more in tax revenue.
The next School Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m.
