Last week when one person commenting began to use language that I deemed to be inappropriate, I decided to moderate comments (meaning they would be reviewed prior to posting). My concern was that one abusive user would keep others from posting and away from the site in general.
I didn't want to require everyone to register in order to post, so I decided to moderate.
Of course the problem with moderation is the delay in conversation for the user, and the extra work on the person moderating. After conversing with Bernie O'Hare, whose LehighValleyRamblings site has been up longer than this one, by email I decided to go back to the way the site was and instead delete future comments that are inappropriate.
I want the conversation to be open, and productive. If you do feel the desire to flame people, please visit another site. This one is designed to discuss and consider opinions, not to be abusive.
For everyone visiting and commenting, thank you. I very much appreciate your support. For the past several months the traffic on the site has topped 300 unique visitors and each month its doubled and in some cases nearly tripled.
Continue to visit and tell your friends. As we get into the fall more groups, activities, and events will be taking place, please share them here, both in the calendar and on the activities blog. If you need any help posting or using these service, email me. I'd be happy to help.

Yours is a very informative site to those in the Nazareth community. Your increased readership reflects that reality.
Although our newspapers do a fine job, you go into much more detail because local papers have a wider audience and can only devote so much space to Naz.
So it's nice to read stories in two different papers and then get a third take from you. I hope yopu can keep it up. It is a bit draining, isn't it?
Thanks Bernie,
In reality, and everyone asks, it's not that bad keeping it up. Getting it together was much tougher because it was me tinkering. Now I see an audience growing and its been almost 100% positive feedback.
Post meetings are the longest because so much is said, but otherwise these are pretty much the things that interest me and that I think about (maybe that's pretty pathetic, I don't know). Normally I spend an hour or so in the morning before the kids are up working on it, and then the occassional response like this one here and there.
In time I hope to have people contributing from the meetings they attend and then there will be less onus on me to provide all content.
Have a great weekend,
Ross
