Nazareth District Announces Intention of Teachers To Strike

The school district web site was update to include the following message (link is here):

Press Release - September 14, 2006

The Nazareth Area Education Association has informed the Nazareth Area School District in writing that it intends to strike on Monday, September 25, 2006 unless an agreement is reached by the end of the September 21, 2006 negotiation session. The State Bureau of Mediation is involved in the process and has requested that a blackout be imposed on any other information regarding negotiations until after September 21, 2006. The Nazareth Area School District will not issue any further statements until after the September 21 deadline has passed.
