As of 6:30 a.m. there was no updated information on the school district web site related to the teachers' contract negotiations.
I could find no new information on the Express-Times site.
The Morning Call did provide an update after midnight (read it here) stating that after seven hours the talks continued.
If you hear anything, please post the comment. I will continue to check for updates as well.

There will be no strike in the Nazareth School District, as reported by WFMZ. No agreement has been reached. Negociations continued until 4:00 am. State mediators, or a Fact ???, will now create a contract for the sides to possibly accept. This will occur within the next 40 days. If this contract is still undesirable a strike is still possible. Unfortunately that would mean in wrestling season.
(WFMZ) A threatened teachers' strike is off for at least 40-days in a Northampton County school district. The Nazareth Area School Board and the teachers' union have agreed to enter the state fact-finding process. As a result, any teachers' strike is off for at least 40-days. Representatives of the two sides met in a marathon 11-hour negotiating session that ended at 4 o'clock this morning without arriving at a new pact, so the two sides elected to go into fact-finding. The fact-finder will look at both sides of the issue and craft a recommended settlement. Each side will then vote on the proposal. According to the teachers' association, the dispute centers on health care, planning periods and curriculum meetings. WFMZ's Eve Tannery is live outside Nazareth Area High School. Watch her reports on 69 News at Sunrise.
