Upper Nazareth Supervisor Meeting Heats Up

Both the Express-Times Courtney Lomax (read it here) and the Morning Call's Arlene Martinez reported (read the article here) on a heated meeting in Upper Nazareth Township including an exchange between supervisors and their secretary-treasurer.

Martinez reported:
The hourlong argument grew heated when secretary-treasurer Dawn Sadimas told the board that Supervisor James Fahr had threatened her. He told her she must inform every supervisor when she makes a ''major decision,'' she said.
It was also reported that:

Fahr said he and Supervisor Willard Mohn approached Sadimas and told her, ''You don't run this township.''
During the meeting according to Lomax spouses of Fahr and Sadimas spoke out.

In addition to the issue noted above, supervisors also sparred over the issue of whether or not elected officials could work for the Township.

It was reaffirmed that they should not.

Did you attend this meeting? What can you add that was not included in the newspaper reports?

What do you think? Should supervisors be able to work for the township? Why or why not?
