According to an article in the Morning Call (read it here) the CF Martin Guitar Company is supporting a write-in campaign to honor its company founder with a USPS stamp.
The article notes that it could take up to three years to be selected and that often a milestone anniversary helps in the consideration process. CF Martin, Sr. was was born in 1796 and died in 1873. He founded his company in New York City in 1833 when he arrived from Germany and moved it to Nazareth in 1836 according to the article.
