Wegmans: Reduced Price Drugs and a Liquor License

In two unrelated articles regarding Wegmans in Lower Nazareth Township are reports that the store will reduce drug prices (read the AP article in the Morning Call here) and make application to serve liquor to its in-store diners (read the Express-Times article here).

The plan regarding the liquor is to begin to serve beer and then add wine and spirits. Patrons will be allowed to carry out up to two six packs of beer as well as unfinished bottle of wine if recorked.

The plan regarding the pharmacy is described in the article as:
The drug program — which includes almost 200 generic drugs when counting different strengths of the same medications — covers a variety of cardiac, thyroid, anti-depressant and other drugs that, beginning Thursday, will sell for $11.99 for a 90-day supply.
