If you noticed in some of the posts on this site, in addition to the sunshine law, I'm a pretty strong advocate of the library. I love to read. And mostly I won't buy fiction books, hence my love of the library.
I've been debating the best way to have a "book club" online. Obviously we can't all read the same book at the same time or it'd take a year to get through the discussion.
So I'm thinking about setting up another blog separate from News and Activities called Books. There I will make a post for each book I've read and think people would find interesting over the past year or so. I'll create a new index with the tag book, so you can quickly search the book list, and individual books can be tagged by author, subject, or whatever seems right to help people find books of similar interest.
If you've read a book and want to tell everyone about it send me an email and I'll post it or I can send you an invite and you can write posts as often or infrequently as you'd like.
I think this could be a lot of fun and I'd love to hear what and who others are reading.
If you think this would be a good, or bad idea post a comment. If it seems like people are interested I'll set it up this weekend.

I think it is a great idea!
Having spent the last nine years reading primarily children's books, I have to say that I am a little out of touch with the adult genre. I would welcome the input from other adult readers.
I think that would be a great idea. I am always looking for new books to read.
I'll be "in". Although I tend to read a bit more non-fiction, I'm always up for a good read.
Book club it is!
And we'll even let non-fiction in;-)
Look for it by Monday and have a great weekend,
Ross
It sounds real good to me, Ross.
With the cold winter coming and the long nights, I'll enjoy curling up with a good book.
Just don't give me anything too thick or too small print. My eyes are getting older and my attention span isn't what it was. Although if it's real good I'll make it through.
Isn't this a good time to promote the availability of books and services at our local library!!!!
