Well, not quite, but on certain days vendors are allowed to set up tasting displays for their products in the Lower Nazareth State Store at the Crossings according to an article in the Express-Times (read it here).
While a more traditional wine tasting would take you through several varieties to taste the difference, these promotional samples seem to be more focused on buying a single product.
None-the-less, the store is reported to list upcoming sampling from now through New Year's and events are typically held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays.
What do you think? Given PA's restrictive purchase laws should the state stores be allowing free samples? Has their new approach promoting these super-stores hurt the ability of the local State Stores, like the one in the borough, to compete with them?
