NASD and NAEA Reach Agreement

It is reported online at mcall.com (read the article here) that the NASD and NAEA have come to a tentative agreement and both sides will recommend approval to their members. The state mediator will draw up the final contract. No details were released.

The Express-Times nj.com reports the same (read the article here).

Thanks to the readers who pointed this out in email and comments!

It looks like we got our Christmas surprise. I only wonder, what New Year surprise we might get in the form of a tax bill?

Like most of us, I am looking forward to the details of the new contract. In particular, I wonder what happens to the grievance filed by the NAEA over the health care coverage?

Maybe the grievance issue was used a leverage. Interesting to see wha thappens with that, if anything at this point.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday to all . Although the last comment posted was unnecessary this person should be thankful the teacher's contract was settled. May the person that wrote that continues on with life and enjoys their holiday.
