The Winter Sports Season Opened on Friday with the Nazareth Boys' Basketball team posting a victory over Catasauqua 55-40 in an independent game (read the Express-Times article here).
The Girls team opens on Tuesday against Whitehall with Coach Rich Bickert making his head coaching debut with the Eagles.
Swimming also had its first meet on Friday against East. Stroudsburg South.
The wrestling team opened on Saturday with the Nazareth Invitational, which it won (read the Express-Times article and the Morning Call article).
While the press covers some of the varsity events, the JV's are lucky to have a score listed and freshman, and middle school go largely unreported.
