Nazareth resident Mike Miller of Nazareth Barbell was featured on B1 of the Morning Call today in an article by Arlene Martinez (again which I couldn't find through search on mcall.com - sorry).
The article not only mentions his upcoming WXW pro wrestling debut, but refers to his background growing up in Bushkill Township, being a police officer in Coopersburg, and most recently as a renowned powerlifter who holds a world record and is being considered for the USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame in York, PA.
The gym, located at Prospect and Whitefield, was also discussed as it related to some residents who took issue with some of the non-traditional practices of lifting heavy objects and dragging a sled used for strong man competitions. (The sled use is not entirely uncommon. The school used to have at least two of them some years ago, but I can't say I often see them being pulled down alleys or sidewalks).
Thanks to Arlene for recognizing this resident, his accomplishments, and his upcoming quest to one day compete in the WWE - and best wishes to Mike in his debut and future endeavors.

The gym is located at Prospect and Whitfield this week . Before that Tatamy and before that Giant Plaza. Next week it will be in his mom's basement.
Hall of Fame? He isn't even the most famous Mike Miller from Nazareth.
Not sure why you need to attack this individual for being recognized in the newspaper for trying to do something that very few others would. It may not be your cup of tea, but it also wouldn't have been newsworthy if everyone did it.
Would also point out that a Hall of Fame is based on merit, not popularity or being "famous".
If you've got a grudge with this individual, take it up with him, but I'd appreciate it if you don't attack people on this site - its not what its all about.
Thanks and best wishes for a great new year!
The gym has been around for 6 years, two 3 year leases in that time.
Finding 3000 square feet of usable space in this area is not an easy task. This space is not run by the speedway as was the Giant center, it is not overrun by rodents and electrical problems as was the Tatamy space.
The Whitfield Street facility is spacious, well lit and by far the best location yet!
Mike Miller has done what no other man on the planet has done, he has squatted 1220 pounds in competition.
Sour grapes from an anonymous internet wannabe is just more publicity for him.
Cowards always hide behind the ever convenient "Anonymous". Come out of your closet and go tell my son what you want to tell him. All the world will respect you for that
