In separate meetings, the NASD Board workshop will take place tonight in the Board Room at 7:30 p.m. and the Nazareth Downtown Association (formerly the Main Street Program) will also meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Nazareth YMCA.
The Express-Times' JD Malone reports today that several issues will be discussed including approval of the Teachers' Contract and a pay raise for Superintendent Vic Lesky (read the article here), which was also noted here on Friday. Malone provides further information, including past salary levels for Dr. Lesky indicating his pay was $111,718 in 2004-05, $118,600 in 2005-06, and with this vote his 2006-07 pay (retroactive to July 1, 2006) will be $127,541.
The Nazareth Downtown Association will have an open meeting tonight for the purpose of identifying individuals to serve on its first Board of Directors. The Morning Call had an article about the group last week and information was included on this site as well. Representatives from the PA Downtown Center will also be in attendance this evening. If you have a downtown business or are interested in helping promote and encourage our downtown development, attend the meeting tonight. Use the front entrance, our meeting area is to the left as you enter.
I will be attending the Nazareth Downtown Association meeting and Brad will be at the School Board meeting, since you can't be at both, be sure to check in tomorrow to find out what happened.
