Saturday's Storm Aftermath

It was kind of a nasty snow/sleet storm we had on Friday, but by Saturday it seemed the sun was out and people were getting dug out. About 10:30 we headed for the library to drop off my daughter's young author's entry and pick up some books.

When we got there they were closed. A worker was there, waiting to get in herself as she hadn't been called about a closing and we chatted for a while. Several people pulled up, dropped off books, and asked if the library was open.

My daughter played in the snow as we decided to wait for a few minutes. We had a tiny little snow ball fight and after a little while decided to leave a mini-snowman in our place at the door. Kind of reminded me of Mr. Bill (close up right and actual scale above).

On the way back we stopped at Mitch's Market and spent the afternoon (at least I did) shoveling the driveway and then playing out back (with both girls and the dog). Between the kids and dog I don't think a square inch remained that hadn't been trampled on.

While we made the most of the day, I can't wait for spring!
