Ross-
Substation went down from what I heard. I was almost out the door with my daughter on the way to the YMCA at 7:00 when the power went out. Driving through town, it appeared that NW sections of town had power.
Drove down by Shafer and the HS (not recommended at that time in the morning) to see if they had power. It looked like they did not.
Late heard on the radio that the outage was affecting Nazareth, Wind Gap, Bangor...
The pwer was out this morning after ms/hs students were dropped off. The power went off between thoes runs and the picking up of the Elem students.. Mr. Mudlock and sereral other teachers were talking to the parents in the drop off line, some stayed in line and others were leaving with their kids. The buses were told to let the kids get off the bus. When I arrived back at Jennings, I am a Bus driver, the drivers were waiting around to find out what the decision was going to be. The admn was contacting Met-Ed to find the status of time it would be unitl the power was restored. The District was going to cancel all classes at all schools if they were going to send Shafer and HS home. I guess it had to do with something regarding the making up of the day. I heard from many parents that the way they handled the Bushkill incident was crazy. They transported these kids around and then allowed parents to pick up their kids at the HS.Some parents thought that their kids remained at Bushkill. Lack of Communication on the Admn's part.

Morning Call agreed with the substation issue.
