Housing Fraud Charge Against Nazareth Resident

The Express-Times reports (read it here) that Diane Lynn Miller, of the 800 block of Wood Avenue in Nazareth, faces multiple charges for fraudulently receiving housing assistance.

According to the article:

Elaine Muretta of Northampton County Housing Authority told police Miller should not have received housing assistance due to her lodgers and extra income.

A police criminal complaint said Diane Miller defrauded the housing authority of $34,644, but the affidavit of probable cause listed $56,868. Nazareth police interim Chief Alan Koch did not return a phone call Thursday evening to clarify the discrepancy.

Diane Miller is charged with theft, criminal conspiracy and unsworn falsification to authorities. She was arraigned Thursday in front of District Judge Elizabeth Romig and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
