Parking Ordinance Thwarts New Business Downtown

JD Malone of the Express-Times reports today on the conversation from last week's Council Workshop to review the parking ordinance in the borough of Nazareth (read the article here).

Storefronts are now available and owners are finding that while they have potential tenants, they can't meet the parking requirements, zoning declines their request for relief, and the deal falls through.

While the article notes that immediate relief can't be had, a review of the parking requirements and change of the ordinance will be important for growth and revitalization of the downtown.
