The Express-Times has an article noting that Shafer Elementary teacher Barb Maitski was recognized by the IU as, "the Maureen Crawford Memorial Award winner for the 2006-07 school year. The award celebrates great teaching practices for the inclusion of an exceptional student into a regular classroom." (read it here).
