The Nazareth Borough Council has held the line on taxes with no increase for 2008 according to an article in the Express Times, the borough has not had a tax increase since 2003 (read the article here).
Materials distributed at the meeting indicate that the Springbrook Terrace street work ($176,000) and Capital Projects and Construction at Borough Parks ($90,000 reduced to $40,000) were the primary cuts made to help balance the budget.
There were also increased revenues, which included a payment from NBMA for joint purchase of billing software and a transfer from the Rec Fund for construction of a dog park.
