A reader brought to my attention the placement of meters along East Center Street a few weeks ago and at last night's Council Workshop (my apologies for not being able to attend and give a full report) the Express-Times reports that the plan is on hold following residents' complaints (read it here).
Additionally, a change related to the borough parking requirements for businesses is anticipated to take place in early 2008. In the Express-Times article, Councilman "Herbst said the change would more or less waive the current requirement for off-street parking that the Nazareth Downtown Association has said is a block to redevelopment."
