Public Meeting Notice & Board Vacancies

There were changes to the upcoming Lower Nazareth and Bushkill Township Supervisor meetings according to notices in the Express-Times:

• Lower Nazareth will hopld its next meeting on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 will be held at the Nazareth Area Middle School Auditorium located at 355 Tatamy Road, Nazareth, PA 18064. The meeting will commence at 6:00PM. The meeting has been moved because the warehouse proposal will be considered (read the announcement here).
• Bushkill Township has changed the time of its meetings on Thursday, December 6, 2007 and Tuesday, December 18, 2007 will be at 6:00 PM instead of 7:00 PM at the Bushkill Township Municipal Building, 1114 Bushkill Center Rd (read the announcement here).
  

Also, I saw last week in the US and it was referenced at the workshop meeting of Nazareth Borough Council that residents are needed to fill many vacancies as follows. To apply send a letter of qualifications to Borough Secretary/Treasurer Paul Kokolus, 134 South Main Street, Nazareth, PA 18064. Letters must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2007.

The following positions were included in the announcement:

• Planning Commission - 2 people, 4 year term
• Recreation Commission - 1 person, 5 year term
• Zoning Hearing Board - 1 person, 3 year term
• Municipal Authority - 1 person, 5 year term
• Shade Tree Commission - 1 person, 5 year term
• Civil Service Commission - 1 person, 6 year term
• Library Board - 1 person, 3 year term
• Vacancy Board - 1 person, 1 year term
