Teens Attempt Ice Run at Borough Park

Two teens were taken to the hospital according to a report in the Morning Call (read it here) following their attempt to sled down the ice covered hill of the Borough Park.

I recognize that as a kid we often learn from our mistakes, or from the mistakes of others.

Anyone thinking about going out on a plastic tobaggon, saucer or anything else - particularly at the Park which has a pretty good sized hill, learn from the broken leg and internal injuries these two suffered and recognize that given it is thick ice not snow, you will have high speed, zero control, and plenty of solid objects to hit. Plus, once you get down the hill, assuming you can still walk, you probably aren't going to get back up it.
