My question is: What inclimate weather? It's just beginning to snow; had they had a regular opening, the kids would already be safe and sound in school. The storm will probably kick in high gear just as the kids have to get ready to go to school. Ridiculous....

I understand your frustration, but the local media was predicting the snow, sleet, freezing rain to begin at 6am. The school district had to make a call anticipating the weather. I cannot blame the district for this delay start. However, blaming the weatherman, well that maybe another story.

Completely understandable ... but frustrating. The meterologists spoke as if we were getting the storm of the century. When we woke - there was nothing. Naturally, as my son had to leave for school - it began snowing / raining, etc. Just ironic.

In general, the purpose of a two hour delay is to allow for more time to make a decision regarding cancellation of a full day. It's usually not to "avoid" weather conditions via a late start. So the delays today were understandable given the forecast and how it changed throughout the morning.
