Thanks to the few who provided some of what was discussed and not discussed at Monday's Board meeting:
A hand out was distributed showing the Act 1 exceptions in a budget discussion. This showed tax increases at 10% or more from 2009 through 2013. Dr. Lesky emphasized that "the right thing to do is to tax to the index" because we need to "build our base." (in translation, tax as much as we can now, so when we tax as much as we can later we get more money even though we don't need the extra money this year and could do with less).
Following the budget discussion, design boards for the new middle school were provided showing artist renderings and designs for the new gymnasium, natatorium, and amphitheater (no one who emailed mentioned any images of an actual classroom).
There was no discussion on the construction items noted on NOC from the agenda on Monday.
Dr. Lesky did address House Bill 904 that is being considered and regards a limited new building moratorium. He also mentioned material sent by the Secretary of Education supporting graduate competency exams (GCE's). The PA Superintendents Association is against GCE's because they believe this would result in a statewide curriculum.
It was also noted that the enrollment figures were not distributed.
Thanks for the updates everyone!

Russ,
I explained during the opening of my presentation that this was, at the request of a Board member, only the FIRST presentation of interior finishes. It was intended only for understanding the appropriate Nazareth 'blue & white' color theme in the large student/public areas. These spaces require materials such as masonry to be identified early on because they have longer lead ordering times.
At this stage of the Project the contractors do not have all the finish materials submitted for review and selection. Therefore, areas such as 'CLASSROOMS' and other eductional programmed areas cannot be finalized for a few months. All things will come in due time.
