Borough Council - Part 3

I wish I'd have taken a closer accounting over time related to the moving costs from 30 Belvidere to South Main Street.

There was a fixed amount allocated for moving the borough offices. Meetings were at first closed to the public by then chairperson Conrad Bowers, and then opened.

It seems that every few Council meetings more items come up related to the move. I don't know what the total bill for the move was to have been vs. what was spent, but it would seem we went way over.

On Monday, Police Chief Sinclair indicated the department was looking into a security system for the borough and would be reporting back soon.

There was a motion regarding a locksmith and an 'additional cost estimate for the moving of two safes to 134 South Main Street'.

And a motion was approved to purchase two telephones for the new building for outside emergency calls.

No costs or estimates for these items was indicated at the meeting.
