As usual, Graduation was a classy evening with fantastic speeches by both Principal Davis and Dr. Lesky. There were two touching presentations by the class of 2008 to the families of Martin McGowan and Lydia Ruppert, two classmates who died at a younger age that would have graduated this year had they lived. A presentation of a flag that flew over a camp in Iraq was presented to the school by Mr. Hall, a teacher at the high school, who recently returned from active duty. Presentations were made to Mr. Hall as well as to Mr. Werkheiser's family. Mr. Werkheiser, another Nazareth High School teacher, was in the unit that was deployed to replace Mr. Hall's unit. A celebration of the Class of 1958 was also included in the graduation ceremony. We were disappointed that the photo montage of all of the graduates "Through the Years" was not played. It appeared as though there must have been a technical snafu. All in all a wonderful evening.
Thanks for providing the additional information - it is much appreciated.
