What a great event on a beautiful fall day!
Many thanks to everyone who ran the event, participated, and attended. And thanks to Carl Strye for getting results out so quickly (see below)!
Yesterday's Halloween Parade was wonderful - best one we've been to. The addition of businesses increased the participation and I know our kids were extremely happy to walk away with as much candy as they get when they go trick or treating.
I obviously can't speak for other communities, but I thought it spoke volumes for the people in attendance who cheered the veterans as they marched along the parade route.
It also seemed that Cub Troop 78 was fairly successful in collecting canned goods as they went (we were at Mitch's Market near the beginning of the parade and their wagons already had quite a bit of food collected.
Finally, thanks to Mark who forwarded the pictures (used here except for the top one which I took). I took some as well but we were in a shaded area and most didn't come out as good as I'd have liked.
Listed below are the results of the 2008 Nazareth Halloween Parade.
The parade is sponsored by the Nazareth Vigilance Hose Company No. 1 and the Nazareth area Kiwanis Club.
Carl Strye, Jr. parade chairman, said the parade featured over 1600 participants, many floats and groups from the Nazareth area. The weather was absolutely great for the parade and the Halloween spirit was alive in the Borough.
Thank you to all the participants and the many who came out to enjoy the parade.
Parade prizes can be picked up on Thursday, Oct 30th at the Nazareth Firehouse located on South Broad street between 6 and 8pm.
