Theft Up, Crime Overall Down

The Express-Times reports (read it here) that violent crime across the Lehigh Valley dropped in 2008, but thefts, particularly from vehicles soared.

There had been several articles this past year on vehicle thefts, especially in townships. The thefts include laptops, gps systems, and other electronic devices commuters left in their cars overnight.

The Lower Nazareth Crime Watch also sent announcements warning residents of these thefts in the community.
