The Morning Call's Keith Groller, who previously was very excited about the possibility of a Nazareth vs. Wilson Thanksgiving Day Football Game, has now written that maybe there are not as many positives as he previously thought (read the article here).
He cites conversations with basketball coaches on their opinion of a Turkey Day game impact on their season, coupled with the question of whether or not the rivalry could be revived and if the communities involved actually care.

I really think this would be a benefit to both of our communities. Having played football and wrestling for Nazareth, I have attended several of the turkey day games and I can tell you it is sorely missed. I would love to see it revived. The competition the sportsmanship, the bringing together of our communities again, it's a great tradition, not to mention how it could financially benefit both schools. I remember the excitement I had as a kid going to the game on Thanksgiving morning visiting with family and friends, this is truly a great idea, we need to get back to doing these kind of community family oriented events.. less xbox more football!!!!Mr.Amato should be commended on his efforts for trying to bring back this great tradition..
