Be Prepared or Get Evicted

The Express-Times reports on a bed bug infestation at the Belvidere Apartments, a low-income, senior housing building in the borough of Nazareth (read it here).

According to the article, many residents have red sores on their body as a result of the bugs. The residents were ordered to prepare their apartment for an exterminator or face immediate eviction for failure to comply.

While hiring an exterminator is clearly a good action taken by the landlord, the residents had also asked that the coin operated laundry machines be available at no cost to clean potentially contaminated materials, and this request was turned down.
