More on Sunday Night's Tragedy

The AP has written an account of the circumstances leading up to Sunday's tragic event that began in Nazareth and ended in Monroe County with State Trooper Joshua Miller being killed by Dan Autenrieth.

Trooper Miller, a Marine veteran and father of three, is the first PA State Trooper since 2005 to die in the line of duty.

The article opens:
Daniel Autenrieth's life was unraveling. Creditors had sued him over thousands of dollars in unpaid bills. His house was in foreclosure. His wife of 10 years had filed for divorce and then for a protective order, claiming years of physical and mental abuse. He'd lost custody of their three children.

Not 100% sure, but I heard one of Nazareth's own police men, Officer Lahovsky, pulled the boy out of the car.

One of the articles noted that Lahovsky and another State Trooper pulled the boy from the car.

The article noted he was with Tatamy.

I'm guessing he works full-time in Nazareth and part-time in Tatamy and was on-duty with Tatamy at the time, so goes the attribution.

From what I understand this is a pretty common practice.
