Prior to the run down, want to note that NewsOverCoffee and Weird Nazareth now have Facebook pages that you can join as a fan. When you join you can start discussions and connect with fellow readers.
Andy is watching all the action on PCN regarding the budget (bless him), and noted the potential elimination of support for the Shriner's Hospital. I've also noted the drastic cuts being proposed for libraries. What I haven't seen is a cut in printing and mailing material from reps and senators to constituents, which is clearly self-promotional. If we have to cut, let's cut those items before we cut programs (my words, not Andy's). He also noted that Legion baseball is off to an 11-0 start - great job guys!
Breakfast in the Valley did email me following last week's round-up and indicated there was no hunger strike. Two posts came up this week, one was a recipe for Chocolate Chip Scones and the other a review of Top Diner in Allentown.
Joe Owens leveraged the killing of Trooper Miller, to raise the issue of stricter enforcement on gun owners to be responsible if their weapon is used in a crime.
Bernie reaches back in time to Civil War era riot in Easton and laments a little league incident in which two teams showed up as winner from the previous round playoff game neither wanting to concede they had lost and the kids sat around instead of playing ball, while parents and coaches argued.
Weird Nazareth continued its great placeblogging on the oddities within our community. The Skull Rock in Jacobsburg Park is the latest post - and you can't deny that rock looks like a skull. Looks like it came right out of a pirate movie.
Lower Nazareth and Tatamy were quiet this week.

Yes, Tatamy was quiet this week - I was out of the country (and out of touch). Thanks for your updates on the library situation, which I will hope to address at some point (it's long overdue - no pun intended).
