Fireworks Will Explode

The meeting has ended and the fireworks are on this year.

The Council Fire Committee, chaired and led by Larry Stoudt, was joined by Vigilance Hose, Kiwanis, and Norm Boell from Kool Treats. They met this evening to discuss the Nazareth Day Concessions and Fireworks.

Following an hour long discussion and in the best interest of establishing an amicable resolution, Kool Treats offered to remove the truck and not sell soft ice-cream in the park from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and the parties resolved that the fireworks would go on.

At the end of the meeting all parties agreed to move forward with the best interest of the community in mind.

The Vigilance Hose and Kiwanis will be meeting with the Fire Committee to discuss events and activities for 2010 in September/October (while not discussed it is probable the Halloween Parade will go on as planned).

The meeting went well tonight. I am glad this is behind us and all can move forward. I appoligized to NORM for not contacting him first. I just went thru our protocol of contacting the fire committee first and then council since it is borough property.
I know a lot has been said. Both positively and negatively. Lets all put it behind and support what everyone is doing in the Borough. I urge everyone to keep visiting the KOOL TREATS truck and supporting his efforts.
As President of the Vigilance Hose and Chairman of the ROAD RALLY and FIREWORKS, I will guarantee you will not be disappointed in the Fireworks. Because of the confusion and the pain we might have caused, this years show will be bigger and better than in the past.
Lets keep supporting all who give so much to this great town of NAZARETH!!
Respecrfully,
Carl Strye, Jr.
President
Vigilance Hose Company

Thank God the fireworks will go off. I guess councilman Stoudt brought the missing money to the meeting that the borough council never paid per firemansdaughter. Its good to see Mr Stoudt actually did something good for the community other then shout his mouth off. If anyone sees Mr Stoudt shout out at him Good Job Larry !

Once I again i would like to say thank god the fireworks will go off. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what happened at the meeting. The Vigilance Hose President once again got his way. I think he should resign for holding the residents of the borough hostage from our fireworks. I hope they call for you resignation as your true colors are shown yet again.

We all scream for Ice Cream.

hey nazostyle610, first of all, you have no clue what your talking about. Resign? How many years of volunteer service do you have in this town. Let me guess, ZERO!! He has over 30. Did you no that the President of the Vigilance Hose actually started the fireworks in this town. Let me guess..."NO". Did you know he also is the chairman of the local Halloween parade? Let me guess."NO". Did you know he also is the chairman of the "Borough Easter Egg Hunt"? Let me guess...."NO" You should shut up or step up to the plate. You could never fill his shoes!!

Well... actually I would think it was the old dirt track and Jerry Fried who brought yearly fireworks to Nazareth. Or maybe the old fairgrounds before that.

Charging admission for the grandstand seats and having the whole town benefit from the aerial show. Ahh... the good old days when making a profit wasn't vilified.

Prettyneat15, Unfortunately for you I do know what im talking about. I personally know the president of the vigilance and that he is on an ego/power trip. I am involved in many organizations so you dont know what your talking about. I would be happy to step up and take over as the president as the fire company. And to my understanding not many of the volunteers are big fans of him either.

On second thought I realized that I wouldnt be able to fill he shoes. Those shoes are to small because obviously they are the shoes of a three year old.

We all scream for Ice cream.

The town has what they want - Fireworks! The Fire Co. and Kiwanis have what they want - No Mechanical Ice Cream vendor on Nazareth Day night. Kool Treats has a lot of free publicity. (I bought their ice cream tonight.) Let's move on from this situation and focus on something more important. Enough is enough!
