Nazareth Legion Wrap-Up

Keith Groller of the Morning Call has a column wrapping up the summer baseball seasons including the Legion (read it here).

Nazareth finished 28-4 and claimed its sixth Legion title since 1998 and 11th overall.

Groller wrote:

“Karl Keglovits, a 6-foot-5 pitcher who will be a sophomore at Nazareth High in a few weeks, was named the league's MVP.

In addition, Nazareth's Mike Squires was one of two scholar-athletes honored by the league. He ranked eighth out of 397 students during the 2008-09 school year.

And one of the five former players inducted into the Hall of Fame was Gary Laubach:

“Gary Laubach: Best known today as the sports director and lead announcer at RCN4, Laubach was a three-time all-star for Nazareth from 1962-64 and went on to become a scholar-athlete at Moravian College.

Congratulations to all for a great season!
