Weekly Blogosphere Round-Up

Andy was excited about at least three things this past week – the PA Budget was approved, the Blue Eagles won making them 3-0, and he moved past the 1000 friend mark on Facebook.  Congrats Andy!  Had a chance to see him at half-time on Friday and he remains convinced the Blue Eagles will deliver seven wins this season.  He also had several posts on football schedules, results, and the inductees to Pen Argyl’s Hall of Fame.

Breakfast in the Valley travelled north to the Bushkill Volunteer Fire Company, who sponsors a monthly breakfast fundraiser.  According to the post the event was well-run and food very good.  “The next breakfast will be on Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.”

Clonehenge continues to crack me up.  This week a diorama, porta-potty henge, a Bavarian stone henge and a virtual French bed henge in a park.  I’m wondering what type of henge we can make in Nazareth to get on the site…Guitar henge?  Maybe at next year’s festival.

House to Home laments sending her youngest off to pre-school and goes outside the home to show an old stone home near a camping area that has recently been acquired for preservation.

Steaming Cup of Joe blogged, for him, the equivalent of War and Peace this week by making four posts.  One was a follow-up to last week’s Glenn Beck “bashing”, which apparently upset some folks resulting in 40 plus comments.  He also made some fearless predictions regarding the Eagles and Giants.

Lehigh Valley Ramblings has more posts on Tony Phillips, candidate profiles, Obama promoting Specter in Philly, some tree planting news in Allentown, and apparently a spat with some other bloggers that led Bernie to take down some posts and comments violating his own blogging rules, for which he apologized to himself.  I guess I now know why I received several notes this week telling me what a bad, bad man Bernie is.

Maker Diaries has a post and congrats to a Bushkill Twp resident who took 2nd place in a photo contest at Dan’s Camera City for a photo of the Indian Tower.

Tatamy Happenings had an update to the latest Council meeting news regarding rental property inspections.

Weird Nazareth is kicking off the Halloween season with ghost stories from Gracedale (the old part of the building, not the tower).

I like the ghost story angle, not exactly my site’s thing, but if you have ghost stories from around Nazareth that you want to share, send them to me and I’d be happy to forward them to Weird Nazareth – editor@newsovercoffee.com

Have a great week everyone!

But you already knew that.
