Christmas Candlelight Walking Tour Tradition will continue this Holiday Season
December 12, 2009 7 – 10 PM
This three-hour walking tour, led by costumed guides, visits six different sites in Nazareth in this annual holiday tradition. Each location offers a different entertainment, from Santa Claus reading “The Night Before Christmas” at the Public Library, to historic vignettes at the Nazareth Hall Square Museum/Craft Shop. In between are abbreviated versions of a Moravian Christmas Eve Lovefeast at the Nazareth Moravian Church, music and dances at Nazareth Borough Hall and Holy Family Catholic Church. Then finally, Nazareth history and music at the Whitefield House. Light refreshments are served at about every other stop.
Participants should come dressed for the weather (the tours are normally cancelled only in the event of ice). Those who need assistance to climb the hill to Holy Family (and back down) can take advantage of free limousine service provided by Nazareth’s’ funeral parlors.
Tickets $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children (12 and under). Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Memorial Library of Nazareth, Nazareth Hall Square Museum/Craft Shop, or at the Whitefield House. Tickets will go on sale November 1, 2009. Please call for large group reservations.
