No Death Penalty for Williams

Nazareth’s first homicide since 1978 won’t result in the death penalty according to an article in the Morning Call (read it here).

Mark Williams is charged with strangling Patrick O’Brien on June 14.  O’Brien was found on his parent’s porch.

Morganelli said Williams' case lacks an aggravating circumstance, a requirement for the death penalty to be imposed. If convicted of first-degree murder, Williams would instead face mandatory life in prison without the possibility of parole.
