Earlier this week my daughter Olivia and I began prepping space in our garage for this year’s train display. Yesterday we plotted the track path and found we were several pieces of track short, bummer. So we’ll head out today to get the needed track and hopefully finish decorating with all the cast away holiday decorations we’ve managed to accumulate over the years. Yes it much resembles an Island of Misfit Toys and Decorations, but the kids love it and so do I.
While ours is hardly worth visiting or charging admission to see, there are several in the area worth checking out including the Nazareth Society of Model Engineers, whose display can be viewed in Stockertown each year. You can visit there Web site here: http://nasme.tripod.com/
The Morning Call has a listing or area displays available here.

So where do you prefer to shop for train supplies?
Trains&Lanes is such a hole, but has plenty of stuff...not sure where else to go...
I love Trains & Lanes - so much stuff, a bit claustrophobic, but where else could you get the volume of stuff they have?
On the other hand, a friend works at Hobby Lobby and asked if I was going there, hadn't even considered it, but will have to check it out.
Set is now up and running - largest yet after the new track purchase and a big hit especially with my younger daughter who has been the primary engineer!
