This morning I came across “The Pennsylvania Magazine of History and Biography” volume 38 by the Historical Society of Pennsylvania published in 1914 (read the online version here).
The article of interest was “Nazareth, Penna., during the revolution.”
As it turns out, Nazareth regularly hosted soldiers and prisoners of war. The article notes dates that different soldiers came in and left the town and where they stayed. Mostly, they stayed at the Rose Inn and Moravian buildings such as the Hall as well as private homes.
