Selvaggio Enterprises has plans for a new shopping center in LNT between 946 and 191 according to an article in the Express-Times (read it here).
The center would be anchored by a home improvement store and grocery store with a restaurant, pharmacy and other retail outlets, names were not provided.
The Township will need to make a zoning change to approve the center.

This is great news! Looking forward to having convenient shops and services in the township!
Talk about a win-win at a time when it is needed.
Much needed services in what is essentially a dead zone for them, and if I read the article correctly, what amounts to a lifestyle center right here in LNT.
A major boom for jobs, with initially hiring a lot of construction and trades at a time when they are hurting the most, then the expansion of jobs once the center is complete.
I really like the fact that he is proposing business offices as well, so we get a nice mix of both retail as well as professional jobs, the later which is really lacking in the area.
From a tax perspective, this is a huge benefit to the residents of LNT, and I can only assume to residents of NASD pumping additional revenues into the coffers when we see our taxes only increasing.
I truly hope this becomes reality and will fully support having it built.
I'm all for the commercial development in that area, but a home improvement store? You have Home Depot just south of 22, Lowes on Freemansburg with yet another inexplicably planned off of 33 as well. Don't get me wrong, I'd go to this place first, but worry a little bit about over saturation.
Whatever happened to the Wawa that was supposed to go up by the Giant?
Regarding the Wawa, there is a sign that says for sale and to contact wawa so I'm guessing they changed their mind and are trying to sell the property.
I wonder if Giant might have greased the skids on that a little bit...
