Thanks from the O'Briens

The parents of Patrick O’Brien sent a thank you through the letter to the editor of the Morning Call (read it here).

In the letter they thanked the many people involved from police, to prosecution, jury, friends, and family and closed with these words:

Finally, to our family and friends who supported us by their presence during the trial, words cannot express our gratitude. To the many hundreds, who for various reasons could not attend the proceedings but supported us in countless ways during the past nine months, we publicly thank you.

The definition of grace and dignity. You have to respect people who are loving and grateful at a time when it must be so easy to just be angry and bitter.
