A group of resident from Lower Nazareth threatened legal action if the NASD proceeds with is solar farm plan at the elementary school according to an article in the Express-Times (read it here).
According to the article:
District Superintendent Victor Lesky said no decision has been made on the solar farm. He is calling a two-hour meeting July 13 for residents to discuss with the school board the pros and cons of the project and to answer questions.
Yet the district must have supported the project or they would not have submitted the grant to apply for it.

I am not sure if it is the same neighbors who are raising a ruckus, but some residents in that area have built structures on the school's property.
Such as sheds and swingsets. One of them built 75 feet onto the school's property, so it was not just a simple mistake.
I live near the school and wonder who they are informing of this meeting and when they will hear about it...I live within site of the school.
Personally, I thinkt he solar panels may be a good thing - but would like more info and a chance to ask questions.
Where were these people when the portable classrooms when in? They truly are an eyesore. Take a look at them today, they are a mess, and are they even needed today since we decreased the population with the new IS school?
Where were their complaints when the sewage treatment facility was built? Oh yeah, that is on the other side and another neighborhood, so it didn't affect them.
Are they also complaining about the numerous sinkholes that are in the open fields around the school property?
Xitch13 is right. I saw one of the residents built a horseshoe court on school grounds going as far as to dig out pits.
This will save the taxpayers money, period. A lawsuit on the other hand will cost the taxpayers, probably more than would be save with the solar panels.
