ANNUAL ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL IN NAZARETH

Hand-made crafts, music, and food have come to be the highlights of the annual Arts & Crafts Festival, to be held Saturday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the lawn of the Whitefield House (214 E. Center St.) in Nazareth. In its 32nd year, this event is the Lehigh Valley’s largest outdoor arts and crafts festival, and is organized by the Moravian Historical Society.  Admission to the grounds is free.

Music for the festival will be provided by the Nazareth Community Chorus at 9:00 am, the Nazareth Community Band from 10 a.m. to noon, and the Nazareth Big Swing Band from 12:30 to 2:00. Crafters’ booths will display wares ranging from fine art to jewelry, bird houses to pottery, and much more. The Whitefield House Museum will be open at a special admission rate of $1 per person. In addition to its permanent second-floor exhibit, guests are invited to view the special exhibit on the first floor entitled With a Heart Devoted to the Service......the Extraordinary Life of the Missionary and Musician John Antes.  Festival-goers can relax at the canopied outdoor café, with food being sold by local service clubs and non-profit groups in Nazareth.  For more information, call (610) 759-5070, email adminassist@moravianhistoricalsociety.org, or visit the website at www.moravianhistoricalsociety.org.
