Great PA Wine Toast

Nazareth’s Mario Andretti will be the toast master for the Great Pennsylvania Wine Toast this coming Saturday according to an article in the Morning Call (read it here).

The goal of the event is to set the Guinness World Record for largest simultaneous toast at multiple venues, set previously in the UK where 17,540 people in 400 pubs had a toast in May of 2008.

Local wineries participating include according to the article:

Participating Lehigh Valley Wine Trail members are: Amore Vineyards and Winery, Nazareth; Blue Mountain Vineyards & Cellars, New Tripoli; Clover Hill Vineyards and Winery, Breinigsville; Galen Glen, Andreas; Pinnacle Ridge, Kutztown; and Vynecrest, Breinigsville.

Andretti will pre-record his toast. The toast itself is a part of a competition. Five finalists who submitted their toasts are in consideration for a grand-prize if Andretti reads their toast during the event.

Andretti’s own winery is in Napa, CA and several participating wineries will have special events taking place some will include Andretti autographed goods.
