Army Officer Charged for Taking Bribes

The Star-Ledger reports that an Army Corps. Of Engineers Project Manager, John Markus, was arrested and charged today with taking over $1.1 million in kickbacks and money-laundering (read the article here).

The article states that Markus and his wife planned to use the money to build a home in Nazareth.

The incidents occurred while he served in Iraq in 2007.

They have a home in Jacobsburg Estates in Bushkill Twp. Over a million dollars....supposedly paid cash.....
