Congrats to Zach

Didn’t get this in over the weekend, but big congratulations to Zach Horan for winning the PIAA State Wrestling Championship in Hershey.

I think I actually saw the weight lifted from his shoulders as the final whistle blew and Zach won his first title in his fourth finals appearance.

Listening to the broadcast on PCN it was noted that his first three finals were all against undefeated opponents, and it appeared the last person in his situation of being a four time finalist and runner-up the first three times was Williamsport’s Tom Best in the late 1980s. This year Zach ran the table finishing undefeated and tying Tim Darling for most wins in a career for a Nazareth wrestler.
